Derailer Coaching- increasing self-awareness

“I am able to control only that of which I am aware. That of which I am unaware controls me.” John Whitmore

Under stress or pressure, most people will display certain counter -productive behaviors and tendencies. We refer to these as “derailers”. These behaviors typically also emerge when leaders become complacent and stop monitoring their behavior.

Derailer coaching has as objective to discuss the client’s top derailers and strategies to mitigate them. Developing awareness of those patterns and stepping into practicing new behaviors is part of the executive coaching process.

For this matter, we use the Hogan Development Survey (HDS), an assessment that measures individual risks in 11 derailers that get in the way of leaders’ success.

Standard Executive Coaching Engagement

10 x 1hr Coaching sessions (weekly or bi-weekly) + 5 x 30min emergency Laser sessions (last minute support you may need- flexible times). Assessments will be included as per agreement with the client.

Sessions are currently held via zoom.

Coaching Methodology

Versum Consulting follows the 3CP coaching methodology developed by Columbia University of the City of New York. The methodology consists in a process made up of three distinct phases: Context (What’s up?), Content (What matters?) and Conduct (What’s next?). Each phase is tailored to meet the specific needs of each client and his/her organization.

The coaching process combines challenge and support, helps create a strategy with an action plan, feedback mechanism as well as accountability and commitment to help the client stays on track to assure goal attainment.
